Yin-Yang

My Niece had brought a cat over to our house and gave it to my wife as a birthday present which I thought “Oh no, not another animal!” But the kitten turned out to be a cute and cuddly tub of fur and deserves a good home, so we had said yes to the whole ordeal. Well later on in the day after the fact of us both falling in love with the new kitten running around, my wife had came up with a odd name for it, it was Keyoda. It is definitely different, but it fits her well, except I thought of the name yin-yang for it, because it has a bright and cute side to its personality and it also has a strange dark side to it. Its an evil kitten running around breaking everything in site, but that what kittens do I guess.

I can’t wait to see how this new animal of ours turns out after staying here with us and our two rotten dogs, wish for the best!

Squeaky toys

Our dogs love to play with cheap squeaky toys that we can buy in the pet supplies section at Wal-Mart. It is so much fun watching our oldest dog go after they squeaker part with great enthusiasm. Most of the new toys that we buy that squeak, are “de-squeaked” within twenty minutes of giving the toy to her. She loves to play tug-of-war and “keep-away” with us with the toy, and we love to watch the two dogs play “keep-away” from each other. We’ll give them both a new identical toy at the same time, yet each dog thinks that the toy that the other dog has MUST be superior, so they are trying to steal each other’s toys. It really is funny to watch them play with each other and with the toys.

Silly little pug

Last Friday the pest control serviceman came over to the house to check on all of the bug and rodent sticky traps, and to service the house. We set up a contract with his company that they will come out several times a year to do that. We had not been having a lot of trouble with bugs and rodents upstairs, but my sister-in-law, who lives in the downstairs apartment has been telling us that there are a lot of spiders down there, so we went ahead and signed up with the pest control company.

Well, wouldn’t you know, this morning she comes upstairs, carrying her little pug puppy, who had his front right paw firmly stuck inside one of the sticky glue mouse traps. My wife woke me up from my nap to help them hold the puppy still while my wife poured some corn oil into a bowl and the put the puppy’s paw into the oil. She massaged the paw for a couple of minutes, and before you knew what was happening that sticky trap came right off! So the puppy was none the worse for wear, and all is well with the world.
