I can’t wait for the car shows to start! It’s been another hobby I really enjoy. The last few years I’ve been restoring a 1982 Chevy pickup truck. Its taken years to get where I am because it seems like everything had to be replaced on it, and I didn’t have the funds. So it was pick and choose the parts that I needed the most. I finally got the outside body done and painted. I still don’t have the hood that I want, but that will be coming soon.
I was able to buy wheels and tires and recently started working on the interior. I hope to take this truck to the car shows this spring as a “work in progress” entry. I hope the judges will be impressed; I worked really hard on this truck!

I started building a 2004 GTO model this week. I’m not sure I knew what I was getting into! I knew I was going to detail it quite a bit, but I didn’t expect there to be so many details of suspension! I worked on the undercarriage for almost a whole day, or it seemed like it, anyway! Just after I painted. I almost painted the body bright red. I think it is really going to come out nice.

My wife and I have been talking about getting a new car. We have been talking about buying one for about a year now. My sister in law has been urging us to lease a car, instead. She has been leasing her car(s) for about the last ten years, and every other year she trades it in for a new one. So, she is always buying a new car.
My wife says she’s not sure if leasing is the best option for us. She doesn’t like the idea that at the end of the lease agreement, we don’t end up owning the car. She doesn’t think it is a good investment. But, I like driving new cars! So we need to discuss this out between us. She says that put a lot of miles on our cars every year, and the mileage overage charges could really hurt us a lot. But, to humor my sister-in-law and me, we have been checking out leasing a car.
