60 Degrees and Rising

Filed under: Environment — Copa @ 4:10 pm

Today was a fabulous weather day. It turned out to be 63 degrees, which is a pleasent change from all of the nasty wet and cold weather that we have been experiencing for so long. I managed to spend some time outside in order to soak in the sun. I ate my lunch outside and I have to tell you that it was a real struggle getting my butt back inside to finish up the day.

Unique

The other day I was rummaging around the basement and found an old jewelry box of my wife’s that had yet to be brought up to our room. When I brought it upstairs and gave it to her, she gave out a joyful shriek. “You found my copper bracelets!” She said that she had wondered where that box had gone to!

She was thrilled because she had just been looking at a jewelry website that has a large selection of copper bracelets, and was thinking about buying one from them. Now she can refresh her memory of the ones that she has so she can be sure to not order a duplicate. I noticed that while she was on their website she was also looking at their selection of earrings. She sure does love earrings, and the site had a ton of them! I’m always nervous about buying jewelry online, but they have a satisfaction guarantee and free shipping, so I guess it won’t hurt to try them out!

Still looking for signs of spring

Filed under: Garden, General Living — Copa @ 9:12 am

I was out walking around the house today, hoping to see some spring flowers starting to bud. After all, it is March and I’m thinking that early bulbs might be up. Although the grass never died out here, there really doesn’t seem to be much indication of spring yet. At least in my yard. I wonder when I’ll see my first Robin Redbreast! When I see that first Robin, I will be extremely happy! This has been a long winter and I don’t know anyone who will be sad to see it go!  Spring is officially only a few weeks away – I don’t like to wish my life away, but come on spring!

Tickets!

Filed under: Family, Fun, General Living — Copa @ 8:37 pm

After seeing the Jersy Boys gig on the David Letterman show I went online to see if I could afford to buy some Jersey Boys Tickets anytime in the near future.   My wife was telling me that she’d love to go see them too, but thinks that I’m putting the cart before the horse in looking to buy any kind of entertainment tickets until all of my operations are finished.

I get discouraged sometimes because every now and then I’ll hear of a great deal on tickets to some entertainer that I’d like to see – like Wachovia Center Tickets
to go see Carol King perform.  Every time my wife and I go on a long trip she brings along her Tapestry CD and we listen to that at least once.  My wife sings along to all of the songs on that album!

And I’d love to get some Jeff Dunham Tickets and see him perform!  Ventriloquism is something that I’ve always admired.  I”m glad to see that it is coming back as a popular entertainment!  A person really has to be talented to do a good job with ventriloquism!  And Jeff is one of the best!

The Jersey Boys

I have always loved Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons. I was really happy to see that there is a Broadway Musical out about their story! I found this clip on YouTube about the Musical – featured on the David Letterman Show. I didn’t know that these guys were associated with mobsters! I hope you enjoy it!
