Today I was really surprised when I got a chat message from Yvonne from our business networking group. She and I had chatted several months ago about how I enjoy blogging and I had approached her about me working for her as a copy writer for her Internet marketing enterprise. Yvonne very politely turned me down, without any hesitation whatsoever, so I guess she just wanted to keep all of her work close to her chest and not hire any outside help.

So, as I was saying, I was surprised today when Yvonne messaged to me that she had heard about my recent challenges and she thought that she was doing me a favor by suggesting that I might be able to make some money by signing on with a pay-per-click advertising service. She sent me a link to the Home page of a pay-per-click website, and I did look around at the website for a few minutes. I’m always interested in the types of financial opportunities are available. Being a blogger, I really did not look at the advertiser page because I didn’t feel like I was trying to sell a product, rather I read the publisher page to see how it all worked. For folks who have high traffic on their blogs, I can see where they could monetize their blogs in that way, but when I look at the stats for my own blogs I really don’t think that I would be making any significant amount of money myself. But I will forward the information on to my brother who has a very highly visited web page – I bet he would make a fortune!

Getting arrested is never a good time, but at least these days we have a lot of options to help with issues like this. Back in the day trying to find a good california criminal lawyer could be a time consuming task if you didn’t all ready have one on retainer or know one from friends or family. The best you could hope for was looking through the good old paper version of the Yellow Pages and the most that could offer was a name, address, phone number and a short ad, if they actually had one. Not a whole lot of good information could be gained from that.

Today you can Google “criminal defense attorney los angeles” and found numerous options to check out on the World Wide Web. Any attorney worth their while, in my opinion, will have a website with a lot of pertinent information for you to check out. It’s like a super duper sized Yellow Pages of the 21st century and you gotta love all that the Internet brings to us these days. When you are in a sticky situation, such as being accused of a crime, the more you know, the better off you will be.

You can’t go just anywhere when you’re looking for a good pair of Motorcycle Boots.  Especially when the bike you are riding happens to be a Harley.  Every man’s foot is different; some men prefer a police boot for comfort as opposed to a rough and tough cowboy boot.  There are many styles and many sizes; you need the right one to fit your foot.  Personally I’ve always enjoyed the engineer style boot.  Waxed, of course.  Now they come with a Harley emblem on the back of them.  When you’re riding with a group of people, almost anyone and everyone in the group will be sure to look to see what everyone else is wearing.

We really have lucked out this winter, only a few inches of snow as of yet and it is almost February for heaven’s sake. I can only hope that we don’t end up paying out the nose for this blessing by having some crazy winter storm come and make up for all the lost time. I’m getting anxious for spring and summer to get here, I’ve never been a big fan of cold weather and I have a lot plans for the yard that I’m getting ready for.

I’ve been checking out some online flowers and getting some really good ideas from various Gardening sites. It amazing how many varieties of plants, flowers, shrubs, tree and bushes there is out there for people’s landscaping concepts. I’ve never been the best at making choices, but I’m taking my time, showing my ideas around and getting good feedback so far. I’m really looking forward to getting outside and getting my hands dirty instead of freezing cold as they have for many months now.

I want to play games on our computer.  My wife wants to pay bills and check her emails on our computer.  It shouldn’t be a problem to share, (we ARE both adults!) but we find that more often we are competing with each other for computer time.  I suppose that is what happens when you both have only a limited amount of “free time” to be on the computer, and it happens to coincide with your spouse’s “free time.” 

My brother-in-law is always telling me that he can get a really good discount on computers from a vendor of his. I think I’ll talk to him and see if he can fix me up with my own laptop so my wife and I won’t have to compete for computer time.
