As most people, my parents have acquired way too much stuff. Easy to do when you have lived in the same house for over 50 years together, while raising a large family and now housing grandchildren. That house has provided shelter while my mother prepared the food and has always been a safe haven to many family members through out the years and they have a real need to do a big sweep of the place and start using some good quality Steel Storage Sheds. It’s all good.

When living in a northern state such as that, every tip and trick and coupon that helps keep energy costs down is a big deal. And the demand for home insulation contractors is amazing; when we called around to try to arrange for some estimates on having more insulation put in the attic we were told that we would have to wait for six months!

One thing is for sure, many more people are staying put in their homes instead of trying to sell their homes and buy new ones. The entire global economy is so uncertain right now that the general feeling here in Toronto is that it is better to hire some toronto contractors to update your existing house than it is to risk losing money in the real estate market of trying to sell it and then not being able to get out from under it.

I can remember when my hubby and I decided that we wanted to have some renovations toronto done to our house – we wanted to raise the roof and add on three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and then remodel the kitchen. I’ve measured 2 or 3 of them and just when I thought it was the right size I found out that by putting 2 or 3 of the items in there that I want, all of a sudden there’s no room for anything else!  So I want to make sure that I get the right size the first time and not have to worry about it!  I also want to install some lights in it.

I was truly in my element, out there, rake in hand, tending the fire.  It burned high and quick.  My wife was nervous about sparks setting the nearby woods on fire, or even our roof, but I had everything under control.  She is such a worrier!

I was surprised, though, that the pile smoldered for four days afterwards!  A little surprise rose out of this, on the third night, I let the dogs out about two o’clock in the morning.  Within minutes, they started barking and growling.  As I stepped out onto the deck to see what the matter was, I saw two large glowing eyes staring at me from the middle of the lawn.  Upon further examination, I noticed that it was two hot spots from the pile of ashes and embers that was driving the dogs crazy.  The next day I hosed the spot down and took care of it.
