Hoarders: Buried Alive

To know that there are so many people out there that are serious hoarders is pretty frightening. The Learning Channel has an interesting hoarding show, Hoarders: Buried Alive, which is about people who have had a traumatic life experience and have turned to hoarding for one reason or another. Their homes are not only over flowing with items but are in severe need of hard core repair and a major cleaning. It is just mind boggling!

I think that the Animal Planet has the other hoarding show that is about folks hoarding animals. These people, who for the most part, are very lonely people, are turning to animals, but way too many animals.  It isn’t surprising to see on this show that many people have 30, 40, 50, or some times even more, pets (mainly cats and dogs) under their care and you can only imagine the damage and the filth that these people are living in.

These shows are an interesting insight to a growing problem with hoarders. At the end of each show they provide you with information on how to help some one that you might know with this type of problem.

Good Numbers To Show For It & Green Too

Recently I’ve been spending some time checking out several web site hosting directories, which by the way, have been extremely helpful. I’m very grateful for sites that take so much leg work out of researching products and services such as webhosting. I’ve been wanting to see which webhosting providers are actively doing what they can to be eco-friendly in today’s ever growing Green movement. From what I’d heard there are numerous providers out there and I wanted to see for myself and see which ones are making that effort and find the one that fits my needs and wants. It’s time to make a switch.

SuperGreen, FatCow, iPage, HostPapa, HostGator, netfirms, ThinkHost and coolhandle are all good choices, but I’m seriously leaning heavy towards SuperGreenbecause they are cutting their carbon emission by 20% by using good reliable green Dell servers as well as being active participates in tree planting projects, which is a big deal if you ask me. Check out the ratings that they received from webhostingfan.com – pretty good numbers if you ask me.

Herbs – It’s All Good

My youngest sister has always been into non traditional and alternative medicine and medical practices, even before it was as well known and practiced as it is these days. And with the coming of the Internet and all that it has to offer folks interested in and utilizing these types of practices. My sis is really into the many types of herbs that can be and are being used for good health, she even grows many of the herbs that she uses and shares with others for, I imagine, a variety of uses.

Anyway, she is now interested in getting becoming a Herbalife Distributor. She found the Herbalife website at herbal-nutrition.net, clicked on the state of Virginia and found that there is a serious lack of  Herbalife Distributors in her area, which she takes it to mean that she would have a good chance of getting some business with less competition near by, which of course makes sense. And let’s not forget the Internet and how a Herbalife Online business widens her territory up to the entire world, not just in the part of Virginia that she is currently living in.

I wish her luck. I’d love to see her succeed in something that she is into and enjoys. And if it’s good for her health as well, what more could you ask for, right?

The Comedy Channel

I find myself watching the Comedy Channel more and more. A good laugh can make a big difference and I enjoy laughing. While the news is being blared out at us 24/7 on most of the other networks, I’m watching something that entertains me and won’t keep up at night with worry.

Spring has sprung

My father used to say this little poem every spring:

Spring has sprung, the grass has ris’
I wonder where the flowers is.

He’s long gone now (rest his soul) but every spring I remember his little poem. “They” say that no one is truly dead until no one remembers you anymore. I love you Dad!
