Dr Copa Scrip for Success

We are looking forward to a nice day at home. Thankfully, we did not have to drive anywhere and no one is driving any great distance to be with us for Thanksgiving this year. My wife will be cooking a traditional turkey dinner and we will enjoy the company of my daughter.

My favorite part of the meal is the dessert. Although I really like pumpkin pie, my favorite pie is pecan pie. I know my wife will be baking both kinds of pies for tonight’s dinner. I hope she remembered to get a gallon of vanilla ice cream while at the store. Pie tastes extra good when served with a scoop of ice cream on top!

It may be November and it may be getting a little nippy outside. But it’s not too cold to fire up the grill and slap some steaks on there!

When I was a kid, I remember my mother using an old canister vacuum cleaner to clean the rugs and floors of our house. It was an Electroluxe and it lasted for my entire childhood.

Nowadays a vacuum seems to be disposable. I have yet to buy one that lasts more than one year. I’ve bought cheap ones and expensive ones and have had no luck with any of them. Now I have just accepted the fact that a vacuum needs to be replaced at least once a year and I don’t spend more than $50 on the new model, and I just get whatever is on sale at K-Mart when I need a new one.

Mike is a friend of mine who is trying to live the American Dream and he sent me this photo to prove it. He has always loved working on cars and trucks, and he just recently heard about a guy in his hometown that wanted to retire. So Mike talked to him about buying the business from him and they were able to work it out. Mike painted his name on the front and opened for business “under new management” last week.

My wife was telling me that she wants to take zumba dance classes.  I had never heard of zumba before!  So I was looking around on youtube to see if I could find out anything about zumba.  I found some really great videos of people doing zumba.  I can see why my wife would want to take zumba classes!  We looked around online to see if there were any local classes offered, and we actually found that there are classes offered at the Wellness Center that is just across the parking lot from where my wife works!

She called the Wellness Center and talked to them about the classes.  They told her that she did not have to be a member to take the class, that she could purchase a one day pass for $15 and that would give her all inclusive access to the entire facility for the day!  So we looked at the Internet photos for the facility and were quite impressed with all of the facilities.  In addition to a lot of exercise machines, there are swimming pools and spas and a lot of classes are offered.

I can just picture my wife and I going to the Wellness center in our matching jogging suits and spending the day there.  I could relax in the spa while my wife takes the zumba classes.  She could join me after the class for a while and then we could go out to lunch together.  Sounds like a good plan to me!
