Even though we are the dead of winter I can’t help but start thinking and planning on some things that I want to get done come spring. I really liked the stone benches that my mother-in-law purchased last year online at stonebenches.com so I’ve been checking out their site as of late to see if they have any that may be suitable for around our house, yard and garden areas. I think some nice garden benches would look great in a few choice locations.
My mother-in-law discovered this site when she was looking at memorial benches to place by her late husband’s grave site. He is buried in a VA cemetery, where they only had a flat marker for him and the family really wanted a nice bench to sit on when they visited the grave site. Their stone work are hand made in the U.S., they are made from cast stone and are shipped to you free of charge, which is a huge savings considering how heavy they are. Can you imagine how much you would have to pay for the shipping if they charged you for that?
Anyway, I’m sure that I will find some nice looking stone garden benches that I’ll end up ordering. Spring can’t get here quick enough as far as I’m concerned. I’ve never been a fan of the cold and wet weather that we experience each and every winter here. I’m all about the sun and all the activities that go along with the nice weather that spring and summer bring us.
I’ve always been a fan of Santana. I’m glad that they are still pumping out such good music and that You Tube has a great selection of their music videos which I can enjoy while I’m spending time on my PC. I’ve heard so many good things about the Myrtle Beach Hotel - The Horizon at 77th, from numerous people through out the years. If every thing goes right next year I would really like to plan a long weekend at Myrtle Beach. It has been such a long time since I’ve been at a beach, so I think that I’m due at this point. My tax refund check should be enough to do a few things that I’ve been wanting to do and just haven’t had the extra bucks to throw at. All work and no play makes for a grumpy old man.
Using the Internet will make the task of making the Myrtle Beach Accommodations for the trip a much easier one. I’m surprised that travel agents are still in business these days with so many people going online for their arrangements. I’m sure I can get a good deal online if I play my cards right and find some good promotions ahead of time. If The Horizon at 77th doesn’t work out I’m sure that I can find another top notch Myrtle Beach Accommodation, one that offers a nice golf package would be a nice bonus.
I can’t believe that my daughter will be turning 26 next week. Before you know it she will be in her 30′s and I’m not sure how I’ll be feeling about that, other than an old man! I’ve all ready picked up a cute and funny birthday card to send to her. It is hard having a birthday in December being so close to Christmas and all, but we have managed to keep the two separate so far, so it’s all good!
I can’t imagine life without the use of the Internet. I don’t know about you, but I have no use for any of the Yellow Pages that inevitably end up at the end of my drive way several times a year, they go straight into the recycling bin without any second thoughts. If I need to locate a business or a person I can simply go online and use any of the sites that can provide this type of information with just a few short key strokes.
What’s really cool is that with the Internet and sites like JustClickLocal.com I’m not limited to just my local area. Whether I need to find something in Miami, FL for my folks, or even some place like Pittsburgh, PA where my younger sister lives, the possibilities are unlimited and I like that. I have a brother who lives close to Charlotte, NC who isn’t hooked up to the Internet (he will forever be stuck in the stone ages) and sometimes I get a call from him asking me to find something online for him. I don’t mind really, it doesn’t take much time or effort on my part to locate something for him, but I really wish that he would realize what he is missing.
