I’ve been spending a lot of time lately watching a television show called The Man Cave. It’s a good show about designing a room into a room specifically surrounding the interests of a particular man. Naturally the show has been getting me to think about how I want to set up my own man cave. I already have the slate pool table that I bought at the thrift store. It’s in great shape!
I’ve been trying to decide whether to buy or make the wet bar for the room. As part of the process of designing that I’ve been looking at a lot of different bar glass racks, stemware racks and wine glass racks for sale. I need to decide if I want them to hang from the ceiling, or under a cabinet, or inside the cabinet. Or if I want them to be free-standing on a counter or table. I really didn’t realize that there were so many different styles and types to choose from!
We have a couple of different artificial Christmas trees here at home. Our favorite one is very large, but since I was injured in the car accident I find it difficult to drag it upstairs and set it up. And for some reason one of our dogs is attracted to the wires of the lights in the bottom row of branches and she keeps chewing the wires. And as the nature of Christmas tree lights go, the entire string of lights is ruined. So I am understandably reluctant to have the large tree. But just having one or two of the small trees just seems so inadequate!
When we use the small tree we have a hard time deciding which ornaments to put on the tree – the large tree can hold them all. My wife gets very upset when she has to pick and choose which ornaments get to come out of the storage box and which ones get passed over. I know that she made most of them herself, and it is like having to choose one favorite child. That’s almost impossible for her to do!
When our nephew Travis needs Math help with his homework, he often calls us up and asks us to help him out. We have a scanner and fax machine so sometimes he will fax his homework over to us to review so we can see what the problem is if he can’t explain it well over the phone. Lately he seems to calling us every night, so I’m going to suggest to his parents that they sign him up for Free online math tutoring. I think that with an Online math tutor Travis might actually learn a little bit more than simply running over his homework assignment with us.
I think that having Free online math help is a wonderful service to have for children that are struggling with math. I know that a lot of kids don’t really understand how important math will be to them when they are adults, and I think that the Online math tutoringprograms can make it more fun to learn than just some old coot like me trying to help them to understand the concepts behind the homework problems. I wish that there had been free Online math help for me when I was growing up!
