What are they trying to pull?
I noticed on one of my balance transfer credit cards that when the statement came in, the low introductory price of the interest rate applied to the amount transferred, but that the transfer fee itself (which was quite large) was hit with an interest rate of 18%! I don’t know if that is illegal or not, but it certainly should be! I plan to call that company tomorrow morning and ask them to adjust the rate on that! I was trying to find out some information about whether or not that stunt is illegal, and came across a credit card corner website that led to a fairly interesting blog about credit cards.
The website looks as if it is still under construction; it is very basic and seems to be the introduction to something bigger that will be coming. It talks about charts and comparisons, but it does not actually show any charts or comparisons. I’d like to take a look at it again in a few months to see if it has developed any more than that. But for now, the website is very basic with no graphics, and no eye candy to keep up the interest of the reader. I think it has potential, though, and will look in on it again at a future date.
