Hot and cold

Filed under: Food, General Living — Copa @ 7:50 pm

Well I learned a lesson today that I won’t soon forget. This evening I was helping my wife by cooking supper. It was one of our favorite dishes that she taught me how to cook; a simple chicken dish. It involves putting pieces of boneless chicken in a casserole dish, dumping in a couple of cans of cream soup and cooking it in the oven for a while. Well, I took the dish out of the oven when it was done and put the hot lid of the dish in the kitchen sink. Unfortunately, the faucet dripped one single drip of cold water onto the hot lid, and it exploded into a million pieces of glass! Boy was I surprised! And MAD too! Fortunately all the food was far enough away that no broken glass got into the food, but now I’m faced with the problem of buying a replacement lid for the casserole dish!
