Peanut company at heart of salmonella controversy
I just heard that the peanut company that is at the heart of the salmonella outbreak that has killed/sickened so many Americans is filing for bankruptcy. The Time.com article I was reading said that it was filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I know that there are a lot of different kinds of bankruptcy, but I really don’t understand them all; thank goodness I never have had to learn much about them!
I just hope that this does nothing to let the executives that placed the orders to ship the bad products out even after knowing that they were contaminated off the hook! I think they should serve jail time!
