My mother and father-in-law dropped by yesterday afternoon, on their way to a square dance. They wanted to show my wife and I their new square-dancing “duds.” I have to say that they really looked good – they were very coordinated and classy looking. My father-in-law was showing off his new Double H Boots that he bought from the metboots.com website. He told me that the website carries the entire line of work and western boots, and carries a large line of work boots from other companies as well.
I asked him if the boots that they sold were made in the USA or not, and he told me that some of them were; the ones that are made in the USA are clearly marked with an American flag and icon that says that they are made in the USA. I told him I’d take a look at their site the next time I need new work boots.

I was just reading an article on the Yahoo news website that the 33 year old mother who recently gave birth to octuplets, after already having had six children, is not only unwed and living with her parents, but is also unemployed! She had all of the children through in-vitro fertilization; the sperm donated by “a friend.”
I’m really curious how in the world she expects to financially care for all of those children? And who is going to do all of the daily tasks that need to be done for all of those children? This is an enormous task; who is going to do it? I can’t believe that one woman can do it all, she is going to need help. Where will it come from? Can you even imagine having that many teenagers all at once?

I am really looking forward to the next time we can take a Florida vacation. My wife and I have discussed the eventuality of actually moving to Florida, and we think it would be a smart thing to take some vacations around the state and see what areas interest us the most. We would love to retire, but we don’t think that we can actually afford to do that yet, so we would like to move to an area where there really is a good economy (if there IS such a thing) and a good job market. (Again, if there IS such a thing!)
One of the areas that we would like to check out is the Daytona area. Daytona is supposed to be a nice beach, and since I love to watch the races, Daytona would be really attractive to me as a destination; I’d be going to the races a lot! And Daytona is relatively close to DisneyWorld, although not exactly in it’s backyard, it is a reasonable commute.
One of the towns near Daytona that we are thinking about checking out is New Smyrna Beach. It is just about a twenty minute drive from Daytona, and about an hour from DisneyWorld. So we are trying to find a good deal on some new smyrna beach rentals by using the rentaloo.com website. Their website is one of the largest resources on the Internet for finding vacation rentals across the globe. Say that they have a “worry free guarantee” but I haven’t been able to find out the details of that guarantee; so I think I’ll send them an email and ask them about it.
I was looking at the Smyrna Beach listings and found some that said that they were near Downhill skiing. I didn’t realize that Florida even HAD downhill skiing! I’d like more information on that, too, so I’ll be asking them for details on the downhill skiing attractions that are supposed to be nearby Smyrna Beach! I think it would be cool t go downhill skiing in Florida!
