Good smile

My wife has a beautiful smile.  That’s one of the things that attracted me to her.  That, and her almond colored eyes.  And nice bod.  Oh yeah, she’s really smart too.  And sweet.  And generous.  (Can you tell I’m trying to win some brownie points here?)  Anyway, she has been fussing for years over how her teeth are not white enough.  She has complained to her dentist many times about it, and he keeps telling her that her teeth are just fine; lots of people have teeth that are not as white as hers.  He explained that her teeth are thick, and that as she ages they will yellow.  He also said that people with thin teeth have whiter teeth.  In his opinion, it is better to have thick teeth than thin teeth.  I guess he feels they are more durable, but he didn’t really explain why.

My wife and I have been using tooth whitening toothpaste for a long time, but it doesn’t seem to help.  We’ve tried a few teeth whitening products that only left our gums in pain, with no noticeable results in the area of “whiteness.”  We’ve made sure to brush our teeth frequently to avoid stains from coffee and tea.

My wife recently found the Celebrity Sexy White Blog on the Internet and was reading about teeth whitening.  She wants to try it out and see if it helps whiten her teeth.  I told her to go ahead and try it if she wants to!

Disappointing news

This morning my wife told me that the headline in today’s local paper was that the Costco that was planning on building a new store in a nearby town had abandoned its plans to do so.  They had been planning it for several years now.  A group of NIMBYs had filed lawsuits trying to stop it, which tied up the progress for a couple of years.  Now that the economy has soured the company apparently has decided to stop trying to put a new store there.  I’m disappointed because I was really looking forward to being able to shop there, and perhaps even to work there!  It is a long drive to the closest one, and I always enjoy going there!
