Since our lawyer is taking such a long time to work on our case against the lady who caused the accident that caused my injuries, we have been using our credit cards to help us survive during this particular crisis. It is getting difficult to pay our monthly bills every month. My wife suggested that we try debt counseling and debt consolidation to help us with the debt – at least until we get the case settled.
I hate to even think about doing anything like that; bringing someone else’s nose into our business, but my wife found a website called fastdebtfreedomnow.com that is about debt consolidation. The website promises to help us save a lot of money and lower the monthly payments. So maybe I’ll look into it by filling out their form and asking for more information. Their website promises to help us become debt free in as little as 12 – 36 months, cut our monthly payments and reduce our entire debt load. So, what have I got to lose? Debt!
I don’t know how my wife manages to get any work done on the computer! She does a lot of work on it, keeps track of our bills, writes papers etc. I don’t know how she gets it done! I get on the computer for a few minutes to “just check” my email for a “few minutes” and the next thing you know it’s been an hour or more because I saw something funny that I had to check out and that leads to another one, and another one and another one, etc.
It’s hard to ignore those distractions and focus on the “one” thing you need to do and then get off of the machine. I think this thing is a time-thief!
We’ve been spending quite a bit of time over the past couple of months with relatives who are really deeply involved in computers and Internet businesses. I’ve found that there are a few times when I can’t quite keep up with what they are talking about, so I like to browse around the Internet and try to find articles and tutorials on various computer and Internet related topics.
I found a nice site that has web hosting tutorials on it, and some articles about cheap web hosting. I learned a lot about web hosting from this site. I should be able to fare better with the conversations with my relatives after I’ve finished reading all of these articles!
I was rather annoyed a few minutes ago when my wife told me that in order to process the $1.00 rebate on the Prestone De-Icer that we bought last weekend that we need to send in the foil seal under the cap along with the form & receipt. Well, I had already opened the jug and thrown the seal away!
The biggest reason we bought that brand instead of a different (cheaper) one was the $1.00 rebate! How very annoying that is! I guess I need to be more careful of disposing of anything related to a product that has a rebate on it until my wife gives me the “all clear” sign!
