Need new muffler
I stopped at a traffic light the other night and when I took off I thought I smelled a little bit of exhaust coming into the cab of the truck. By the time I got home, I knew there was exhaust coming into the truck. I crawled underneath the truck and found that the top of the muffler was rotted and split open. It wasn’t making any noise, but it was pushing the exhaust up inside the cab.
I got a price to put the exhaust on the truck from a dealership – it almost scared me to death – almost $800! I went to buy the exhaust for myself at the parts store and it was $460. So I went online to a parts store that I buy parts from, not knowing if they sell exhaust or not and purchased the whole exhaust shipped right to me for half. I’ll be installing it myself next week. I love the Internet!
