My friend Ed moved to England last year, his job took him there.  It worked out well for him; he got a big raise and promotion and the company paid for his move and found him a house to live in.  I miss him a great deal; we used to shoot pool together on a regular basis and “chew the fat” while having a few “brewskies.”

Tax time is over for most of us this year, thank goodness.  We got our tax refund direct deposited this year, and I was glad to get it.  I hope that means that we don’t have to worry about any IRS tax audits this year, but my wife says that they could decide to audit us at any time.  Our mortgage interest payments were really high this year, and we were concerned that might throw up a red flag to the IRS.  Not that we would be in any trouble if we WERE audited, we have all the documentation to prove all of our deductions.

My poor puppy needs an operation.  Kind of strange one, if you ask me.  When he was born one of his testicles was still inside his body.  Only one was on the outside.  I didn’t think much about it at the time; I took him for his shots, as usual.  I don’t remember him saying anything the first time, but the second time I went he said “your puppy really should have an operation.  This could turn into a cancerous thing.”  I didn’t want that!  So I’ve scheduled to have him fixed at the same time.  It’s going to cost more because they have to open him up to get everything, but that’s alright, he’s worth it!  Maybe it will calm him down a little bit too!
