Lupus Awareness Month
May is Lupus awareness month, and I wanted to chime in on this subject. There are ways to raise money online for lupus research and lupus patients, through a website called www.firstgiving.com. The Firstgiving organization is a for-profit company that helps people set up websites to raise money for any US registered nonprofit organization online through signing up at their website. Registration is quick and easy to do.
I looked at one of the sites for raising money for a lupus patient, http://www.firstgiving.com/bethschock, and I was impressed that she had so many friends that were trying to improve the quality of her life with the donations that they were making.
