Well, yesterday the neighbor’s kid showed up here at my house wearing a pair of knee length plaid shorts. I was quite surprised; I didn’t realize that plaid was in fashion. I thought plaid was reserved for the golf courses!
He said that the shorts were made by a company called Roca. He said that Roca is one of the brands that is popular with the “in crowd” at his school. He claims that if you don’t include roca wear clothing in your school wardrobe, you might as well just forget about being popular with the rest of the kids at school!

I can’t wait for the car shows to start! It’s been another hobby I really enjoy. The last few years I’ve been restoring a 1982 Chevy pickup truck. Its taken years to get where I am because it seems like everything had to be replaced on it, and I didn’t have the funds. So it was pick and choose the parts that I needed the most. I finally got the outside body done and painted. I still don’t have the hood that I want, but that will be coming soon.
I was able to buy wheels and tires and recently started working on the interior. I hope to take this truck to the car shows this spring as a “work in progress” entry. I hope the judges will be impressed; I worked really hard on this truck!
Acne Treatment was the topic of conversation yesterday with my neighbor’s son while he was here polishing the truck’s wheels. He has very nice skin, which really surprised me. Kids his age typically have a few pimples on their face!
So I asked him what he attributed his good complexion to, and he said that he uses Proactiv on his face to treat and prevent breakouts. He did some research on the subject at www.acne.com and decided to ask his father and doctor about it.
He said that using the Proactive to treat and prevent acne has really helped his self-esteem a lot. When he first started having breakouts he became shy and withdrawn, and now that his skin has cleared up he feels more self-confident and is more out-going.
I wish they had Proactiv when I was a kid!
