New at riding Harleys
I’m no stranger to motorcycles. I’ve ridden them all, but a Harley very little. I recently bought a 2002 Harley Davidson FXDWG Wide Glide. It had 5900 miles on it when I bought it. The bike was perfect, sitting all by its lonesome in the picture window of a local motorcyle store. I saw it when my wife & I were driving to my sister-in-law’s house in a nearby town. We didn’t even realize the motorcyle store was there at the time, but it caught our attention as we drove past it. If not for lack of time, I would have turned around right then and there.
When we stopped at the store on the return trip, the store was closed. But we got out of the car anyway, and were looking at the motorcycles through the picture window. Just then a funny thing happened, the owner was in the store and saw me, with my nose pressed against the window! He came out and said ”come right in.” I guess he didn’t want to clean the drool off of his picture window!
Long story short, I bought the bike. It is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen!
